Fun, but pointless?
I have now made myself a 95mm Trapper, the 115mm Trapper, a Camper, and an Elver. IF Brad had the Enzo Necker in a kit, I'd make one. It is fun to do, and satisfying. HOWEVER, I'm not sure there's much point. By the time you've bought some 2 ton epoxy, a couple of Dremel bits, some sandpaper, Loctite, and Ballistol, you're up to the price of the finished knife, which probably looks and feels a bit better than the knife you've assembled. The only advantage of making it yourself is that you can easily put in a lanyard hole with brass liner. Maybe you think this is a really great thing. Maybe having a string get in the way of your work all the tie annoys you. Anyway, they are great knives for bushcraft, and the price is excellent. Unfortunately, they are so stout that they'll last a lifetime, and I won't have any excuse to buy another one!
