This machete is from WW-2. It has no collector value, but some family history.
The first photo is what it looked like when found in an old garden area. I replaced the handle and cleaned up the blade. The after photo is actually a mid point photo. I failed to get a final photo. The blade was darkened more evenly and then sharpened, and the wood grip was hand rubbed with oil to bring the grain appearance out even more and give it a glassy appearance. This machete is now being used on a farm.
